Kingsville Community Federal Credit Union is a full-service, not-for-profit cooperative financial institution. It was formed for the purpose of encouraging savings by offering a good rate of return, using collective moneys to make loans at competitive, low rates and providing other useful financial resources. Our mission at Kingsville Community FCU is to provide products and services for all its members and to promote community development for the improvement of the social and economic conditions of the low-income and the underserved community.
The philosophy of our credit union is to establish a service-oriented environment dedicated to providing prompt, efficient, convenient and friendly delivery of services and financial products through the realm of sound management policies and a professional code of ethics.
The Kingsville Community Federal Credit Union has a history as rich as South Texas. On January 4, 1937, Missouri Pacific Kingsville Employees Federal Credit Union was granted a charter to become a credit union for the railroad employees of South Texas.
In August 1966 the charter was amended to change our name to Union Pacific Employees Federal Credit Union. In 1978 the charter was amended for the third time changing our name to Kingsville Community Federal Credit Union with the purpose for serving the Kingsville area.
In 1979, Kingsville Kleberg County Government Employees Federal Credit Union was merged with KCFCU adding 437 new members to our credit union family. Since then, the City of Kingsville employees and Kleberg Memorial Hospital employees (Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg) have joined our credit union and are a part of our family of members". With the final name change Kingsville Community FCU was open for membership to all who live, work or attend church in our community".
